TRAMx Bootcamps are one-day immersive workshops designed to introduce University of Melbourne researchers to the world of research impact.

Open to staff, academics and research students from all faculties and the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, these bootcamps provide a hands-on experience with practical entrepreneurial frameworks and IP processes.

Participants connect with like-minded researchers and tap into the University's support networks, gaining valuable insights into how their research can create real-world impact.

TRAMx Bootcamp offers a starting point for researchers to explore new pathways for their work and engage with innovation at an early stage.

  • Any researcher from the University of Melbourne from all faculties and the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct.

    All stages of career: you can be at any stage from pre-idea, PhD student, postdoc, founder, lecturer and anywhere in between.

    You don’t have to have an idea, a curiosity to learn about research entrepreneurship is more than enough.

  • We generally run a few sessions online (Zoom) each year and then most sessions are run in person at Melbourne Connect. The content is the same on each date, it is entirely your preference for either an online or in person session. Sessions run from 9.30-3.00pm

  • No, you don’t have to have an idea! A curiosity to learn about research entrepreneurship is more than enough.

  • TRAMx Bootcamps are the perfect place to start. From here we can guide you towards the best program for you, that may be TRAM Track or one of our partner programs: MAP Velocity and InnovatEd.
