Antibacterial Se Nanoparticle Team

Defeating the antibacterial resistance arms race with a new nano-particle.

The current rate of antibiotic development is lagging behind antibiotic resistance, and failure to curb this resistance has frightening consequences. This team’s development of selenium nanoparticles has been proved to be highly effective in killing different types of bacteria, including that which is antibiotic-resistant.

It provides a crucial step in providing safe, efficient management of a global challenge.
